Data residency options in alallo

Every alallo training job has a data residency setting, chosen in the Goal section of the New job form. The three options are:

• European Union: "Your data, checkpoints and model stay in this jurisdiction." Prices in EUR.
• United States: "Your data, checkpoints and model stay in this jurisdiction." Prices in USD.
• Anywhere (lowest price): your data, checkpoints and model may be processed anywhere in the world. Prices in USD.

European Union is the default.

What alallo keeps inside the chosen data residency

For an alallo job with European Union or United States data residency, the training itself, the job's saved progress (checkpoints) and the resulting fine-tuned model stay in that jurisdiction. Choosing Anywhere data residency in alallo

The Anywhere (lowest price) option lets alallo run the job wherever it is cheapest or soonest available, worldwide. Choose Anywhere when your data has no legal or contractual requirement to stay in the EU or the US. Choose European Union or United States when it does.

Data residency affects which models are available in alallo

The models and training methods you can choose in alallo can differ between the European Union, United States and Anywhere options. When you change the data residency, the Base model list reloads, and a model that is not available in the new option is replaced by the first available one.

alallo does not train on your data

alallo does not use your training data, or the models trained from it, to train its own or anyone else's models. alallo does not copy or share your data except as needed to run your jobs. How alallo separates accounts

Every alallo account's jobs, uploaded files and models belong to that account. Users of another alallo account cannot see or access them; requests for another account's job or file are answered as "not found". Within an account, all users can see the account's jobs and uploaded files. See Accounts and users.

alallo training logs

The training log shown in the dashboard contains the progress messages of your training run, such as the loss and saved checkpoints. alallo keeps the training log with the job so that you can review it.

Data retention and deletion in alallo

alallo keeps the fine-tuned model of a succeeded job for 30 days after the job finishes, then deletes it. Training checkpoints are deleted when the job ends. See Job outputs. Infrastructure providers used by alallo

alallo runs on third-party infrastructure providers and its own facilities. [TBD: published list of subprocessors and data processing agreement; pending legal review.]

Payment data in alallo

Card payments for alallo token top-ups are handled by Stripe. alallo does not store your full card number. [TBD: confirm wording with the payments set-up.]
